Privacy Notice

DRAFT — Last updated July 2026. This is a working draft of our Privacy Notice for the private beta and has not yet been finalized by counsel. It will be replaced with a final notice before any public launch.

1. Who we are

JobClover is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at [email protected] with any privacy question or request.

2. What we collect

• Account data — your email address and name, obtained directly or via OAuth sign-in.
• Profile data — the work history, skills, and preferences you enter to help generate documents.
• Uploaded documents — resumes or other files you upload.
• Generated documents — the resumes and cover letters JobClover creates for you.
• Usage data — basic feature-usage information needed to operate the Service. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or sell usage data.

3. How AI processing works

To generate a resume or cover letter, relevant parts of your profile data and the job description you provide are sent to a cloud AI provider for that single request. Two things to know about this:

• Your data is not used to train the AI provider's models.
• Processing is per-request — the AI provider does not retain your data beyond what's needed to generate and return the response.

4. How long we keep data

• Account data is kept while your account is active.
• Generated and uploaded documents are kept until you delete them.
• You can request full account deletion at any time; see below.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Export your profile and documents in a portable format;
• Delete your account and associated data.

6. Third-party services

We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, and cloud AI providers to generate documents as described above. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and data-processing commitments; we don't share your data with anyone else for marketing or advertising purposes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and authenticated sessions — to help protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify affected users if we become aware of a breach affecting their data.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the beta program evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated to active users.
